This is an essentially practical course and is intended for anyone interested in learning Indian Head Massage.
This massage comes from ancient traditions, being known in India as Champi (it was this word that gave rise to the word Shampoo) and in Europe and the United States as Indian Head Massage.
It has been increasingly used due to its relaxing capabilities and proven therapeutic effects.
Concepts of Traditional Indian Medicine - Ayurveda - will also be discussed and explained.
Among some of the benefits of Indian Head Massage are increased oxygenation and supply of nutrients to the brain and improves circulation and maintenance of cerebrospinal fluid; Through massage, a biological balance is maintained, improving health and increasing longevity Relaxes the nervous system and eliminates fatigue, tension and stress This head massage is an excellent and very effective mechanism to induce sleep Increases hormone secretion of growth and stimulates the development of neurons Increases the circulation of prana (energy) within the brain, pressing and stimulating the muscles. Born in Lisbon, she is a Pharmacist (she completed her Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences 2001-2007 at FFUL).
He has a Postgraduate Degree in Yoga, Buddha Dharma and Sanskrit held at Universidade Lusófona, in Lisbon, 2016-2017.
He successfully completed the course “Classical Treaties of Ayurveda” and the course “History of Ayurveda” at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, in 2019. He took the Psychology and Philosophy of the East Course at NA, in the academic year 2009/ 2010.
She is a Yoga Teacher, internationally certified by the Yoga Alliance, and has been practicing this science and philosophy since 2009, she also teaches Yogalates® and Meditation classes, she is a Body therapist of Ayurveda (Indian Medicine): she gives consultations and performs treatments and massages of this oriental medicine , having completed this training with an international certificate, at the European Association of Oriental Therapies.
He practices Raja Yoga since 2008 and Hatha Yôga since 2010. He is trained in various types of meditation, such as Mindfulness and Vipassana. He is a Reiki Master, a therapy he has been practicing since 2007 and does Reiki initiations and treatments. She is a regular speaker and teacher at Yoga Festivals, Lisbon Zen Festival, Alternative Fair, Algarve Zen Festival, Happy Life Festival. And she loves teaching Yoga classes! And help people to be happier!
She was invited to speak on television programs on SIC Internacional about Ayurveda and participated with articles and interviews in magazines such as Progredir, Vida Celeiro, LuxWoman, NiT, Boletim Vida Sã da SPN.
She loves to travel, has been doing it since she was 16 years old, and thus decided to combine her two great passions: Yoga and Travel. By bringing these two worlds together: his vast experience in travel, to more than 55 countries, and his passion and training in the area of Yoga, he complements external trips with great internal trips. He has been to India, Nepal, Indonesia, Tibet and even Bhutan several times, where he practiced and taught Yoga and Meditation classes and where he regularly goes to continue his studies.
He is currently organizing another spiritual group trip to Asia, which includes Yoga and Meditation practices."
