Rising to a height of 100 meters above the city, the fort houses a citadel within its massive walls. The only living fort in the world, around a quarter of the city's population lives within the fort's walls. Jaisalmer Fort is pure magic. Built entirely in yellow sandstone; it turns into a magical honey-gold like the sunset. Various entrances like the Ganesh Pol, Suraj Pol, Bhoota Pol and the Hava Pol guard the Megh Durbar and the Jawahar Mahal.

With five floors, some exquisite carved pillars and extensive corridors and chambers, it is divided into six apartments, two owned by the Archaeological Survey of India, two owned by families who operate handicraft shops and two private homes. The haveli is built in yellow sandstone with a different design on each window and archway. Upon entering the haveli through its magnificent arched gate, you are greeted by its delicately carved yellow-brown facade with up to 60 balconies overlooking it. One of the largest mansions in Jaisalmer, the stone carving surpasses in beauty the brocade and gold work.

Salim Singh ki Haveli - Believed to have been built around 300 years ago, the Salim Singh ki Haveli was the residence of the powerful Mohta clan - the hereditary ministers of the Jaisalmer rulers. Built in 1815 by Salim Singh, who was the prime minister when Jaisalmer was the capital of the princely state, the eight-story haveli features 38 balconies, each with a different design. Nathmalji ki Haveli is a late 19th century mansion built for Diwan Mohata Nathmal, then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. Designed by two Muslim brothers Hathi and Lulu, the left and right wings of the haveli were carved differently by two brothers.

Later we will visit Gadi Sagar Lake - An artificial reservoir, Gadi Sagar Lake in Jaisalmer was built by Raja Rawal Jaisal, the first ruler of Jaisalmer. In recent years, Maharaja Garisisar Singh has rebuilt and renovated the lake. Artfully carved chattris, temples, shrines and ghats surround the shores of Lake Gadi Sagar Jaisalmer. Located south of Jaisalmer city, the entrance to Gadi Sagar Lake or Garsisar Tank is through a magnificent and artistically carved yellow sandstone arch known as Tilon-Ki-Pol. We'll spot rare migratory birds that stop to drink at the lustrous Lake Gadi Sagar, which reflects the soft yellow of the picturesque sandstone shores; enjoy a boat trip on the lake or simply sit on any one of the ghats and watch the yellow sandstone shores turn ocher with the sunset, an enchanting panorama that you wouldn't miss for the world.

About Ayurveda Medicine

Ayurveda means, in Sanskrit, science (veda) of life (ayur).

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian therapy that uses techniques of massage, nutrition, aromatherapy, phytotherapy, among other techniques, as a method of diagnosis, prevention and also healing, based on studies of the body, soul and mind.

In this therapy, it is believed that the human body is made up of 3 principles, or Doshas, which are Vata, Pitta and Kapha, which are combinations of the elements Air, Ether, Fire, Water and Earth. As a way to balance them, massages, food and phytotherapy, specific to each Dosha, are used.

All treatments are carried out with vegetable and essential oils of high therapeutic quality.

Commencement of consultations at the clinic, with a view to commencing Panchakarma treatment the next day. Rest of the day free for personal activities.

Group leaders will be available throughout the day to help with queries, translate queries, resolve various issues.

Options will be suggested during the Panchakarma treatment to fill the day with different activities. The respective treatment lasts for 7 days.

All participants on the trip will carry a set of information that they will be able to carry out, which will be useful from that moment on. We verified in several participants of other editions that health problems that always persisted even after attempts of several treatments, with the experience of Panchakarma they obtained useful “tools” to slow down or even extinguish these imbalances.

Ayurveda Medicine can be useful for several diseases, however it should be taken into account that we are all different and what may be useful for some, may not work for others. However, there must be a compromise on both sides – therapist/patient.

Treatment days that can be complemented with free activities, or suggestions given by the organizers, such as visiting other locations, markets or monuments. As a rule, the period of 7 days is reserved for the Panchakarma treatment, no unnecessary travel or organization of a group tour is suggested, so that participants can enjoy a calm treatment, at their own pace and that they obtain the maximum benefits from the treatment. same.
