About the event
The New Moon is associated with new beginnings and sets the mood for setting new intentions and starting new challenges and projects. We will also be celebrating the first new moon of 2023, called the Wolf Moon, because wolves howl loudest in January, to signal the start of the breeding season and the time of year they mate.
This workshop will help us to attract this beautiful energy, so that we can also set intentions, positive goals, for much love and abundance in 2023!
Yoga Nidra, also known as "Yogic Sleep", is a guided meditation practice designed to help you relax your sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) and activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest).
The workshop consists of jotting down some thoughts, followed by gentle movements and a guided meditation, with relaxing music that will take you to the space where your conscious and subconscious minds meet in lovely harmony.
The amount of time spent in the practice is equivalent to 6 times regular sleep time and great for those suffering from insomnia, sleep deprivation, anxiety and pain.
For practice, bring a mat, water and a pen to take some notes (paper will be provided) or feel free to bring your journal if you have one.
Also, dress comfortably and bring water and socks - lack of movement and diving deep into yourself will lower your body temperature (even under blankets). An eye pad would be appreciated.
